Oliver Tarney's The Lover's Ghost for Cambiata 1 Cambiata 2 Baritone and Piano. An original composition on a traditional and well-loved text this is a pulsating rhythmic piece that displays Tarney's keen sense of texture and lines that appeal to young singers. The harmonic language is folk-inspired but with exciting chromatic shifts that are part of the composer's accomplished style.

Oliver Tarney's Sea Fever for CCBar and Piano. This is an imaginative and modern-sounding setting of John Masefield's popular poem (2017 marks the 50th anniversary of Masefield's death). This expressive piece ebbs and flows and provides imitative textures and well-crafted narrative.

Balulalow is a Christmas miniature that captures the intimacy and atmosphere of this well-loved 16th-century text. Through homophonic textures word-painting the use of extended harmonies and a lilting rhythm the piece has a subtlety that provides a challenge for established choirs while remaining musically accessible.

This beautiful arrangement of the well-loved folksong gradually grows from simple one- and two-part vocal writing to a delightful display of interweaving imitation in three parts before an eventual ebbing away. The flowing piano accompaniment provides harmonic support throughout.
