Coldplay's biggest hit to date this pop juggernaut manages to marry sweeping melodies with repetitive textures reminiscent of Steve Reich or Philip Glass-esque minimalism. The rich overlapping vocal lines split into as many as nine different parts at times (in addition to the tenor solo) but the repeating patterns keep it from being challenging.
