The text comes from Charles Wesley of the 18th century but the music comes from 21st century England. Clothed in a garb of lofty cathedrals the music begins majesticlly. Suddenly a stunning contrast in delicate a pappella counterpoint captures our imagination saying Christ has opened Paradise. This is truly an Easter anthem with a great deal to say.

Reminiscent of the Classic version by Count Basie here is a terrific medium swing setting of this familiar standard for vocal solo and jazz ensemble.

This anthem is based on the Gloria from Haydn's Heiligmesse Holy Mass No. 10 in Bb Major. It has been arranged for the 2009 International Haydn Festival in Vienna Austria and will be performed by The Mark Thallander FoundationFestival Chorus directed by Eric Dale Knapp.

Folkloric Suite' is a classic organ work from renowned French composer Jean Langlais. This collection has become a standard in serious organ repertoire.
