The 'stack pot' Jazz bass introduced in 1960 further pushed the boundaries of solid-body bass tone. With an individual bridge and neck coil, blendable for a wide range of tones and hum-cancelling, Bare Knuckle J bass sets accurately recreate the original 'deluxe model' tone. '60 PE J Bass Using the same vintage correct fibreboard flat work and Alnico V magnets as the '60 HF J Bass set, both coils of the '60 PE J Bass set are hand-wound with 42AWG plain enamel wire. Accurate to late 1960 J Bass coils, the plain enamel wire produces a tighter coil with slightly more output and a more aggressive tone. The bottom-end is extremely defined with fast response-to-playing dynamics; mids are punchy and solid while the highs are clear with vowel-like reproduction. Both coils blended together allow for full hum-cancelling as the neck coil is RWRP and hookup is vintage correct black and white cloth 'push back' to complete the vibe.
