The Finn & Morris Performance Series/Early Elementary Level-Description: This piece is written in Middle C position is 40 measures long (including the repeat) and is in 3/4 time. The melody is shared between the LH and the RH and spans four octaves. This piece contains staccatos accents and legato passages. Purpose: Students are encouraged to play two hands smoothly at the same time. They are also encouraged to play one hand staccato. There are two tempo changes. Suggestions for Instruction: The tempo should be relaxed and moderate. Play staccatos crisply and if possible try to sing out the RH over the LH.
