Major works for the 'King of Instruments' include 'Four Concert Fantasias' of which 'Fantasia on a Welsh March' is number two in the set. Based on the Welsh tune 'Men of Harlech', it subjects the march to virtuosic treatment that makes demands on both player and instrument.
