These six canzonets, originally written for three vocal parts and three basset horns, have fallen into oblivion. This edition is based on the Notturni , nice texts by Metastasio and three anonymous poems - ensemble titles of light music which Mozart performed on musical evenings in the house of the Jacquin family and which even he himself seems to have forgotten soon after.
