The corresponding sheet music edition for female choir SSAA with piano accompaniment was published by Schott Music (Georg Kreisler - Lieder und Chansons, ED22736). In addition to this, individual editions of all songs from the sheet music album are available: Why are people so cowardly? After social criticism resignation follows. Kreisler's otherwise humoristically critical style leads to the simple question: Why? He asks about the cause of sloth, docility and social adaptation. The demand for breaking out of this lethargy, which is rather halfhearted, concludes the work.
