This work was premiered on March 12, 2011 in Los Angeles by Pablo Ortiz de Urbina, horn. It is a short and virtuostic work in which the music for the horn soloist is integrated within the orchestra. The composition is based on a short motive of two measures which is transformed and modulates as it passes from one instrument to the other as it changes its sonority throughout the piece.
