Ballad for Bass Trombone est une piece charmante qui devoile le timbre noble et les immenses possibilites de cet instrument a priori pas tres virtuose et dont le repertoire ne compte helas que tres peu d'oeuvres pour soliste. Cette composition, pourtant, contient quelques beaux defi s techniques pour le soliste et un accompagnement orchestral relativement peu exigeant.

Ballad for Bass Trombone e un pezzo aff ascinante che rivela il timbro nobile e di enormi potenzialita di questo strumento non proprio molto virtuoso, il cui repertorio non conta, purtroppo, molti lavori per solista. Questa composizione, tuttavia, contiene alcune sfi de tecniche per il solista e un accompagnamento orchestrale leggermente piu esigente.
