Originally commissioned by the Kansas State University Student Brass Quintet for their 2004 ITG World Conference performance. The folkish opening section echoes over a driving bassline. Obligatory trombone and tuba solos crown the ethereal middle section. The piece resumes the drive in the end. Throughout there are bright solo spots for each instrument.
