Great sounding microphone for its price, the goose neck and clip is strong enough to hold the microphone in place, pity the clip isn't removeable completely, other than that I can't fault it.

Very useful pick up mic

Bought this to replace a lost pick up mic used on a double bass, but didn't want to go down the really expensive route for some pick ups. Much more solid and reliable than the previous product which was quite flimsy by comparison. Sturdy components, very easy to use with a desk, clips on to bass bridge easily, very good sound quality. Ordered a second mic straightaway.

Das ist schon das 2. ADX 20 I-P, das ich für meine Band gekauft hab. Wir spielen Ska und Reggae und haben insgesamt 4 Bläser mit Anklippmikros. 2 haben das Sennheiser E 908 B und 2 das ADX.
Mit dem ersten ADX hatten wir eine günstigere Alternative zum E 908 B von Sennheiser gesucht. Tatsächlich unterscheiden sich die beiden aber im Klang kaum. Tolle lineare Klangkurve über den ganzen Bereich der Blasinstrumente. Wir haben das Teil sowohl an Saxophon, Posaune als auch an einer Trompete ausprobiert. Wird alles perfekt übertragen. Natürlich sind das hauptsächlich Live-Mikros, zum Recording kann man sie trotzdem nutzen, wenn man nicht gerade einen Majordeal in der Tasche hat, denn dann sind die allemal gut genug.
Die Verarbeitung ist 1A und die Idee mit den Kabelhaltern völlig gelungen. Anfangs hab ich den Haltern nicht ganz so vertraut, weil das nur Gummiplatten mit nem Loch drin sind, die halb aufgeschnitten wurden, hält aber zuverlässig.
Die Mikrokapsel wird ebenfalls in eine Gummihalterung gesteckt, die Störgeräusche der Instrumente abhalten soll, was bei den Klippmikros extrem wichtig ist. Das funktioniert bei dem ADX sogar besser als bei den E 908 B. An Trompete und Posaune hört man kaum noch Tasten- und Klappengeräusche, perfekt.
Klar, der Preis ist happig, aber immer noch billiger als die Sennheiser-Pendants ;)
Fazit: Wenn man ohne viel Nachdenken über den Anwendungsbereich ein möglichst vielseitiges und gut klingendes Mikro für eine Bläserliveshow haben will, dann sollte es wohl dieses Mikro sein.

This is the second ADX 20 IP that I bought for my band. We play ska and reggae and have a total of 4 brass players with clip-on microphones. 2 have the Sennheiser E 908 B and 2 have the ADX. With the first ADX we were looking for a cheaper alternative to Sennheiser's E 908 B. In fact, the two hardly differ in sound. Great linear sound curve across the entire range of wind instruments. We tried the part on a saxophone, trombone and a trumpet. Everything is transferred perfectly. Of course, these are mainly live microphones, but you can still use them for recording if you don't have a major deal in your pocket, because then they're always good enough. The workmanship is 1A and the idea with the cable holders is a complete success. At first I didn't really trust the holders because they were just rubber plates with a hole in them that were half cut open, but they hold reliably. The microcapsule is also placed in a rubber holder, which is intended to block unwanted noise from the instruments, which is extremely important with clip microphones. This works even better with the ADX than with the E 908 B. You can hardly hear any key and key noises on the trumpet and trombone, perfect. Sure, the price is steep, but still cheaper than the Sennheiser counterparts ;) Conclusion: If you want the most versatile and good-sounding microphone possible for a brass live show without much thought about the area of application, then it should probably be this microphone.

Capte tous les mouvements des clés de mon saxophone qui parasitent un peu trop le son.
L'adaptateur mini-XLR / XLR n'est pas non plus super pratique.
Le son est très brut (car pris face au pavillon), si vous voulez un son plutôt doux, c'est pas ce qu'il vous faut.
En résumé, ça peut être bien si ça colle à l'utilisation que vous souhaitez en faire, mais ça ne vaut pas un bon micro sur pied.

Captures all the movements of the keys of my saxophone which interfere with the sound a little too much. The mini-XLR/XLR adapter isn't super practical either. The sound is very raw (because it is taken facing the horn), if you want a rather soft sound, this is not what you need. In summary, it can be good if it fits the use you want to make of it, but it is not worth a good microphone on a stand.
