Korg did an amazing job with the SV1 a decade ago... but the SV2 is definitely a great move ahead. Many mention the design, which I love, but my main focus is sound and quality. Impressive. The SV2S, with built-in speakers by K-array, really offers a very good sound with the radiator technology to boost the bass. I was not sure about these speakers, and I must say that although they lack some power (how could they for their size?) the sound is really great for a medium size room, with a perucussionist playing softly. If you're looking for a good digital keybord for the next 10 years, the SV2S should be in your "must try" list. Enjoy!

I was also considering the Viscount Legend 70s & the Nord too, however what swung it for me was the amp & cab sims.
Here in the UK I couldn't find the Viscount anywhere to try one (I know it has an amp drive sim control) but I did compare the SV2 & the Nord.
The Nord has some lovely clean Rhodes sounds but if like me, you consider the grittier tones an essential part of the Rhodes experience, in all honesty, the Nord doesn't come close. That's where the amp/cab sims come in.
Also in my view I prefer the Korg RH3 to the Nord Electro keybed, although I didn't try the Nord Piano or Stage as they were beyond the budget.
I love the styling, a flat top would have been great for putting a synth on top but not a big deal,& the curved top does look very cool too.
I love the different sections that can be switched in or out, the interface is very intuitive and engaging.
I really like the white finish and the speakers are actually pretty decent quality too.
Literally the only downside is that you need to run the free Editor program to perform splits and layers, doesn't bother me as my studio is also my rehearsal room, so I can have it connected to my computer at all times, however might be an issue for some if you need to carry your laptop around. Otherwise fully recommended with no reservations.

A beautiful instrument

I have had this instrument for a few weeks now and I must say it is a pleasure to play and use. The piano sounds are rich and varied. The EP and organ sounds are also top notch as expected. The hammer action keyboard has a wonderful feel to it. I love the vintage style of all the dials. Not unimportantly, it just looks super cool. The build quality seems very high with no issues to report so far. I haven't used it onstage yet but I'm guessing that it will perform well. I haven't used the MIDI function yet and also have only used the in built speakers (which sound very nice) and headphones. Will connect it to my amp soon and see what happens. There is a lot to learn about this instrument and it will take me more time to master it but hey, that's all part of the fun! If you like vintage organ sounds and rich acoustic piano sounds then you will like this instrument.
